ZMC Hotels, LLC expands portfolio in the Southeast with the acquisition of Hampton Inn New Albany

The Hampton Inn New Albany, Mississippi, is the latest acquisition to the ZMC Hotels management portfolio.

Acquired in early May on behalf of company-sponsored investment equities, the 84-room hotel built in 2010 is the thirteenth Hilton property under management by ZMC Hotels and expands the ZMC Hotels’ presence in the Southeast to twelve hotels across five states. A Tru Hotel by Hilton, currently under development in Sebring, Florida, will bring the Southeast presence to thirteen.

The Hampton Inn New Albany is a 2017 Trip Advisor Certificate of Excellence recipient and the top-ranked hotel in New Albany, a historic town on the banks of the Tallahatchie River in northeastern Mississippi, that was chosen by USA Today Readers as the Best Southern Small Town in 2017 among travel-worthy destinations. Roughly 30 minutes from Tupelo, 35 minutes from Oxford, and just 10 miles from the North American Toyota Corolla manufacturing plant, the hotel is ideally situated for business, leisure, and historical pursuits.

Comprehensive renovation completed at Hampton Inn & Suites Phoenix/Glendale/Peoria

The next time someone “takes you out to the ballgame” for a spring training game or youth baseball tournament at the P83 Peoria Sports Complex in Peoria Arizona, you’ll find the Hampton Inn & Suites Phoenix/Glendale/Peoria sporting a whole new look.

Hall Equities Group and ZMC Hotels, LLC, have just completed an extensive interior and exterior renovation at the 112-room hotel adjacent to the Sports Complex and the Arrowhead Town Center in central Peoria. The new look is sleek and sophisticated with clean contemporary detailing, consistent with Hampton’s Forever Young design initiative.

The exterior changes are striking. Low-pitched red gable roofs on the hotel building and the porte cochère have been replaced by flat roofs with bold parapets. Window columns topped with shallow arches have been transformed into tall, sleek rectangles. And horizontal colored accent bands have been removed. These architectural changes, in concert with a crisp new color scheme of predominantly ivory and gold, make the hotel appear visually taller.

Inside, the lobby has received a fresh new make-over with colorful contemporary furnishings and desert themed artwork, while guest rooms were completely redone in a soothing grey and taupe color scheme with playful pops of color. Streamlined furniture, roman shades, and rolling barn-style closet doors contribute to the modern feel. The trend continues in the guest baths, where plank style floor tiles and elongated stone topped vanities with contemporary fixtures and lighting have replaced more traditional furnishings and finishes.

Not to be outdone by the updates to the elevations and the interior, the pool area at the Hampton Inn & Suites Phoenix/Glendale/Peoria is scheduled to undergo a major renovation this summer, similar to the transformations that have recently been completed at the Hampton Inn Phoenix/Scottsdale and the Hampton Inn Phoenix/Scottsdale on Shea Boulevard. We predict the pool reno will be a home run!

ZMC Hotels, LLC, completes breakfast room renovation at AmericInn Ashland, Wisconsin, enhancing Lake Superior views

ZMC Hotels, LLC, has recently completed construction on a major breakfast room renovation at the AmericInn Ashland in northern Wisconsin, enhancing aesthetics and functionality at the 94-room hotel overlooking Lake Superior at beautiful Chequamegon Bay.

The hotel breakfast room was enlarged and reconfigured, increasing seating capacity from 22 to 66 and creating a walk-out wall of windows that showcases the expansive views of the lake. Bar height and banquette seating were added, along with large screen TVs and striking lake-themed artwork. Dated track lighting was replaced with inset overhead lighting for a brighter, more open feel, and older wall units were replaced with central heating and air for improved guest comfort and efficiency. The serving area also received an inviting makeover with new two-tone cabinetry, contemporary hardware, and updated floor and wall tile. In addition, the prep kitchen for the breakfast room and the kitchen for the onsite pizzeria were relocated to adjacent positions, and the pizzeria kitchen was outfitted with all new appliances and fixtures.

The breakfast room renovation is just one in a series of improvements at the AmericInn Ashland, which features fun, family-friendly amenities like the Shipwreck Pizzeria, an indoor water park, and summertime pedal boat rentals. An expansion of the exercise room is currently under way and the lobby and select guestrooms are also being updated. In 2017, a comprehensive landscaping project at the back of the hotel added a beach area and pathways along the lake.

ZMC Hotels acquires six branded properties and adds two states to Southeast portfolio

ZMC Hotels is pleased to announce the acquisition of six branded Marriott and Hilton hotel properties totaling 578 guest rooms to the ZMC Hotels’ management portfolio, on behalf of company-sponsored investment entities. Formerly part of the Buford, Georgia-based Ascent Hospitality, the hotels are located in Alabama, Mississippi, and Georgia, adding two new states and five new flags to the ZMC Hotels portfolio. Each hotel occupies a prime location with important tourist and business destinations nearby.

In Tupelo, Mississippi, the birthplace of Elvis Presley, ZMC Hotels has added a 93-room Courtyard by Marriott and an 87-room Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott. In Oxford, Alabama, ZMC Hotels has added an 81-room Home2 Suites by Hilton, and a 124-room Hilton Garden Inn, adjacent to the world-famous Talladega Speedway. And in Georgia, ZMC Hotels has added an 80-room Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott in the historic city of Savannah, as well as a 113-room Springhill Suites by Marriott in Statesboro, the home of Georgia Southern University.

Already well-positioned in the South with hotels in North Carolina, Alabama, and Florida, these additional six hotels expand ZMC Hotels’ presence in the Southeast, creating a strong regional presence to match that in the Upper Midwest and the Southwestern United States. The addition adds 220 employees to the ZMC Hotels’ family and brings the total portfolio to 40 hotels and more than 4,000 rooms across 13 states.

“The addition of these six hotels not only provides additional scale to our critical Southeast region but adds Springhill Suites, Fairfield Inn & Suites, Courtyard by Marriott, Hilton Garden Inn and Home2 Suites to our collection of brands under management,” said John Henry, Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer. “We’re thrilled to be welcoming these six new GMs and their employees to our rapidly growing ZMC Hotels family.”
