Comprehensive renovation completed at Hampton Inn & Suites Phoenix/Glendale/Peoria

The next time someone “takes you out to the ballgame” for a spring training game or youth baseball tournament at the P83 Peoria Sports Complex in Peoria Arizona, you’ll find the Hampton Inn & Suites Phoenix/Glendale/Peoria sporting a whole new look.

Hall Equities Group and ZMC Hotels, LLC, have just completed an extensive interior and exterior renovation at the 112-room hotel adjacent to the Sports Complex and the Arrowhead Town Center in central Peoria. The new look is sleek and sophisticated with clean contemporary detailing, consistent with Hampton’s Forever Young design initiative.

The exterior changes are striking. Low-pitched red gable roofs on the hotel building and the porte cochère have been replaced by flat roofs with bold parapets. Window columns topped with shallow arches have been transformed into tall, sleek rectangles. And horizontal colored accent bands have been removed. These architectural changes, in concert with a crisp new color scheme of predominantly ivory and gold, make the hotel appear visually taller.

Inside, the lobby has received a fresh new make-over with colorful contemporary furnishings and desert themed artwork, while guest rooms were completely redone in a soothing grey and taupe color scheme with playful pops of color. Streamlined furniture, roman shades, and rolling barn-style closet doors contribute to the modern feel. The trend continues in the guest baths, where plank style floor tiles and elongated stone topped vanities with contemporary fixtures and lighting have replaced more traditional furnishings and finishes.

Not to be outdone by the updates to the elevations and the interior, the pool area at the Hampton Inn & Suites Phoenix/Glendale/Peoria is scheduled to undergo a major renovation this summer, similar to the transformations that have recently been completed at the Hampton Inn Phoenix/Scottsdale and the Hampton Inn Phoenix/Scottsdale on Shea Boulevard. We predict the pool reno will be a home run!

Hampton Inn Phoenix/Scottsdale at Shea Reopens as New Resort-Style Hampton Inn & Suites following Yearlong Upgrade and Reconstruction

ZMC Hotels is pleased to announce the reopening of the Hampton Inn at Shea Boulevard and North Scottsdale Road on October 13. The hotel underwent a yearlong closure and a massive, multimillion-dollar ground-up renovation and upgrade project that transformed it into a larger, resort-style Hampton Inn & Suites. The hotel now features a spectacular, oasis-style pool area and glass-walled lobby, far beyond typical brand standards.

Originally consisting of two stories with 130 standard guest rooms, the newly rebranded Hampton Inn & Suites Phoenix/Scottsdale on Shea Boulevard has been enlarged and reconfigured, and now comprises three stories and a total of 150 new guest rooms, including 48 new suites and two new grand suites with expansive balconies. In the course of the renovation, one end of the original building was demolished, two new wings were added, and a third story was added to the remaining portion of the original building. The pool area was completely redone and the porte-cochere was relocated to a more a central position. As a result, every aspect of the hotel is newly constructed and designed for guest comfort and convenience.

“This is the most significant renovation ZMC has ever gone through and would be the most significant renovation most hotel ownership groups have ever gone through, as well,” said Senior Project Manager, Byron Chapman.

Highlights of the new hotel include an impressive two-story lobby and breakfast room overlooking an exquisitely landscaped pool and patio area, which features inviting seating areas with fire pits, mature palms and colorful bougainvillea-draped trellises. The hotel also reopened with a new, larger fitness center and improved meeting facilities with updated technology. Fixtures and finishes in the guest rooms and public areas reflect the freshness of the Forever Young design initiative and are the most upscale and up-to-date available in the Hampton Inn line. Guest connectivity and convenience are paramount, with charging outlets thoughtfully provided throughout the guest rooms and lobby, and amenities like digital check-in and free Wi-Fi.

“The moment they arrive at the new Hampton Inn & Suites Phoenix/Scottsdale on Shea Boulevard, guests know that they are truly someplace special,” said hotel General Manager, Damian Humphreys. “The entire property has been beautifully landscaped and the attention to detail both inside and out has been incredible.”

“We have an unbeatable location and we’re well-known for the service we provide, so our closure over the past year has left a big gap in hospitality service for the area, particularly for Hilton Rewards members. It’s exciting to see the enthusiasm expressed by local businesses and previous guests over our reopening,” said Humphreys.

Centrally located at 10101 North Scottsdale Road, the hotel offers easy access to the restaurants and nightlife in historic Old Town Scottsdale to the south and to the high-end shopping and dining in North Scottsdale, as well as to the Scottsdale Airpark and nearby MLB Spring Training Facilities, making it an ideal choice for both leisure and business travelers.

Property-Wide Improvements Beginning at Hampton Inn Lake Havasu City

Hall Equities Group and ZMC Hotels are commencing a property-wide upgrade and renovation of the 162-room Hampton Inn Lake Havasu City. The comprehensive make-over will touch nearly every aspect of the 3.76-acre property in Lake Havasu City, AZ, and dramatically increase aesthetics and amenities both inside and out, making the hotel a premier destination for travelers, conventions, weddings, and other corporate and social events. The hotel will remain open throughout the construction period, which is expected to be completed in six months, to be ready for the arrival of high season guests in early 2018.

Two striking improvements will make The Hampton Inn Lake Havasu hotel stand out among its peers. The first is the transformation and enlargement of the existing pool and patio into an impressive resort-style pool and lounging area. The second is the addition of a specimen cactus garden that will extend along the front of the hotel.

The exterior façade of the building will be updated to reflect the signature Hampton style, and the porte cochère welcoming guests to the hotel will be enlarged and resituated. Inside, the hotel will be completely renovated with a fresh, contemporary look, and public areas will be reconfigured to optimize flow and functionality while maximizing views of Lake Havasu. The existing meeting space overlooking the lake will be enlarged and reconfigured, creating a spacious 3,000-square-foot-room which can be divided into separate 1,500-square-foot spaces and seat up to 300 guests. Guest rooms and guest baths will also be fully updated and eleven new guest rooms will be added.

“We are extremely excited about the upcoming renovation,” says long-time hotel General Manager and Lake Havasu resident, Diane Harry. “There is simply nothing in the area that will be able to match our capabilities for special gatherings and events, and I believe it will attract new visitors to the area for business and for pleasure.”
