Hall Equities Group and ZMC Hotels recently completed the property-wide makeover at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites in Independence, Missouri. In keeping with the brand’s Formula Blue design initiative, fixtures, furnishings, and finishes throughout the hotel were updated for a fresh, contemporary look, and greater comfort and convenience for hotel guests.

The entire public area of the hotel was reconfigured and modernized, creating an inviting, open lobby with versatile tables and seating, an updated breakfast area, and more optimal, state-of-the-art facilities for the board room and fitness center. Guest rooms received all new beds and bedding, innovative traveler-friendly furniture, updated wall and floor coverings, and sleek new bathroom appointments. Exterior improvements included fresh paint, pavement, landscaping, and updates to the pool area.

Situated off I-70 just outside of Kansas City, The Holiday Inn Express & Suites Independence-Kansas City offers ideal accommodations for fans attending Chiefs’ games at Arrowhead Stadium or Royals’ games at Kauffman Stadium.

Property-wide upgrades underway at Holiday Inn Express & Suites, Independence-Kansas City

Hall Equities Group and ZMC Hotels began construction on a property-wide upgrade at the Holiday Inn Express in Independence, Missouri. Constructed in 2003 off I-70 near the Little Blue River, the hotel serves the historic city of Independence, as well as Kansas City, Missouri, and is ideally situated for guests visiting downtown Kansas City or taking in a game at Arrowhead or Kauffman Stadium.

Incorporating not only beautifully upgraded fixtures and finishes throughout, the renovation has been carefully designed with the comfort and convenience of the traveler in mind. From an expansive new great room look and feel in the lobby, which will feature two user friendly check-in kiosks, a handy marketplace, 24-hour coffee station, and an inviting guest seating area with decorative focal wall and large screen TV, to luxe new appointments in guest rooms and baths, no detail has been overlooked. The fitness center, business center, breakfast buffet, and pool areas will all receive extensive upgrades, as well. Updated lighting and signage throughout will further enhance the guest experience.

The hotel will remain open throughout the renovation, with work being completed in sections. Completion is scheduled for February 2017.
